Launch of the Dyslexia-SpLD Trust

The Dyslexia-SpLD Trust (DST) was officially launched on 16th March 2009 during a Regional Roadshow held at Central Hall in Westminster. Roadshows were also held in Calderdale on 11th March and Cornwall on 20th March.

As well as launching the DST, the findings of the recently completed 'No to Failure' project were shared with a wider audience which included the project funders (the DCSF), participating local authorities and schools as well as Local Authority representatives from neighbouring counties and other educational establishments from further afield.

The Dyslexia-SpLD Trust offers the opportunity to work closely with other stakeholder organisations on a variety of exciting projects. Attendees at the three Regional Roadshows were invited to submit suggestions in this respect by means of evaluation forms completed on the day and these will be taken into account when the Trust comes to plan its' future work.
